Peter Easton, Academic Principal

Peter Easton, Ph.D., is the Notre Dame Alumni Professor of Accounting and Director of the Center for Accounting Research and Education at the Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame. He is an expert in financial statement analysis and valuation and an author of a widely-used text book Financial Accounting for MBAs, now in its 3rd Edition. His research on corporate valuation has been published in the leading academic journals. He has served as an Associate Editor for each of the four leading academic accounting journals in the United States and for the leading academic accounting journals in Australia, Canada, and in the United Kingdom. He is currently an Editor of the Review of Accounting Studies. Professor Easton has testified as an expert in the Delaware Chancery Court and he has consulted on valuation issues for law firms, investment firms, and accounting firms in Australia, the UK, and the USA.
