Michael Moore, Academic Affiliate

Michael Moore serves as a Professor at the University of Virginia's Frank Batten School of Public Policy and Leadership, where he teaches courses in Econometrics, Statistics, Competition Policy, and Law and Economics. He is also a Batten Fellow at UVA's Darden School of Business. Professor Moore has testified and consulted at all stages of the litigation process in the fields of antitrust, fraud, commercial damages, corporate finance, tax, and health, safety and the environment. His published research ranges over a number of fields in applied microeconomics, including occupational safety, insurance, health economics, industrial organization, regulation and antitrust, products liability, product safety, asset pricing, and applied econometrics. He has won several awards for this research, including the Kenneth Arrow Award in Health Economics, and the Kulp-Wright Award for the best book in Risk and Insurance. Professor Moore earned his PhD in economics at the University of Michigan.
